THE TEAM
Reg Weine was appointed as CEO & Managing Director in August 2023 after serving on the Bubs Board since April 2023 as an independent Non-Executive Director. He is based in Melbourne Victoria, near our Deloraine canning operations.
Reg is an executive with over 25 years’ experience in fast moving consumer goods (FMCG) and agri-food and more than 15 years working in international markets and trade. An experienced CEO, Reg was previously Managing Director of SPC Ardmona (Coca-Cola Amatil), CEO of Australia’s largest and oldest privately-owned dairy business – Bulla Dairy Foods, and Director of Sales and International at Blackmores Limited.
Currently, Reg is a Non-Executive Director of Maggie Beer Holdings (ASX:MBH), Chair of Otway Pork and Chair of Apple & Pear Australia Limited (APAL).
Reg has a Bachelor of Business from Monash University, is a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and is a Certified Practicing Marketer and Fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute. In 2019 Reg completed the AGSM@UNSW Business School Governance for Social Impact certificate and completed the Wharton Executive Education – Venture Capital program.

Why Bubs? I was attracted to the company’s purpose to grow happy healthy families through clean nutrition, and I’m a big believer in Australian produce and our largely untapped export potential.
What’s you go to healthy diet and lifestyle habit? Eating healthy is important to me. My diet is filled with lots of fresh fruit, nuts, and vegetables. Like many Aussies I like to start my day with a bowl of Weet-Bix and a good coffee. I’m partial to a good red and my go to treat is definitely, cheese.
Life outside work: Life outside of work is centred around family, friends, and our pet dogs. I’m also a keen golfer and I try and squeeze in a round whenever possible.
Richard has worked for over 30 years within the Dairy Industry having previously managed complex dairy site operations for several large companies, including Murray Goulburn and Bega Cheese, in both the commodity and nutritional ingredient space, as well as dealing directly with farmer groups. As a member of Bubs leadership team since 2018, Richard manages the diary-based operations, including Bubs wholly owned infant formula manufacturing facility, associated supply chains and oversees the sales functions across the global markets. This broad new role encompasses all of Bubs internal and external manufacturing, as well as milk supply and utilisation, with oversight for all manufacture of Bubs products and associated processes.

What’s your go to healthy diet and lifestyle habit: I always try and keep a balanced diet rich in protein with limited sugar – especially at breakfast!! On the weekends I get a big walk in, along with a gym session or two in the mix.
Life outside work: Spending time with my family as well as squeezing in some downtime listening to music and reading.
Robin Johnston is a highly accomplished CFO and Non-Executive Director with 30 years of experience in senior finance roles across the retail, wholesale distribution/logistics, and FMCG sectors. Most recently, he was CFO of Forty Winks for three years and has held roles at Metcash Hardware Division and IGA Supermarkets.
With a strong track record in financial management, commercial expertise, strategic decision-making, and corporate governance, Robin consistently delivers positive results. His comprehensive understanding of operational efficiencies, risk management, and financial dynamics positions him as a highly respected and sought-after professional in the industry. Robin’s extensive experience and expertise make him a valuable asset to any company seeking a seasoned senior executive.

What’s your go to healthy diet and lifestyle habit: I am an early riser, which always means I start the day with an early run or exercise which sets me up for the day ahead.
Life outside work: I enjoy travel & experiencing new places along the way with family and friends.
Julia is a passionate, results driven marketer with over 20 years’ intimate experience in creative brand marketing and campaign development across global markets. She has a proven track record delivering long-term growth of several high profile and market leading brands across diverse channels including FMCG, Pharmaceuticals, Beverages (On &Off Premise), Skincare, Wellness, Fashion and Publishing. She brings extensive experience in developing innovative, content led, integrated media campaigns to drive awareness, consumer engagement, brand growth and sales. Julia prides herself on being a personable team player with experience in leading, motivating and mentoring teams as well as individuals. She strives to always foster a positive culture that inspires others, thriving on the buzz of a fast-paced team culture.

Why Bubs? Having raised (and still raising!) girls of my own, I understand the desire to provide the best nutrition possible to our children. Health, food and family are my personal passions and I love the idea that I can be part of a brand that provides health and nutrition to families across the globe!
Your go to healthy diet and lifestyle habit: I live a very active lifestyle built around food! I love to cook and prepare healthy meals balanced with all sorts of physical training as much as possible – all without coffee.
Life outside work: Outside of work I love to spend time with my beautiful family. We love being outdoors at the beach, travelling and finding new adventures together.
Chris Lotsaris has over 20 years of FMCG experience across large multinationals including Mars, Danone and Lactalis. Chris is highly skilled in developing and executing strategies across categories leading to portfolio growth and sustainable profitability. He began his career with Bubs Australia in 2018 as National Sales Manager Australia growing the domestic business by over 40% in his first year, and an additional 50% in the following two years before being promoted to Sales Director USA. During his tenure in the USA, Chris has been instrumental in securing ranging of Bubs products in the Top 4 brick and mortar retailers across the country.

What’s your go to healthy diet and lifestyle habit: Morning green smoothie and walk on the beach to start the day with a clear head.
Life outside work: Cooking up a storm (at least trying to) in the kitchen, weekends away and creating memories with friends and family.
Peter is a highly experienced lawyer and general counsel, having almost spent almost 20 years in the legal profession. Peter commenced his legal career in private practice with Hall & Wilcox before moving to inhouse roles in the energy, dairy foods and aviation sectors, including with Murray Goulburn and Melbourne Airport. Peter is also a Chartered Accountant having worked with the global professional services firm Deloitte prior to qualifying a as lawyer.
Peter holds degrees in science, commerce and law and is currently completing a Master of Laws at the University of Melbourne.

Why Bubs? I was attracted by the opportunity to be part of a team producing clean and safe infant formula at Bubs’ Melbourne factory and exporting it to the world.
What’s your go to healthy diet and lifestyle habit: Always prioritise your mental health, and maintain connectedness with your friends and family.
Life outside work: Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my family, volunteering as a firefighter with Victoria’s Country Fire Authority, and camping and hiking in Australia’s amazing natural environment.
Jackie has extensive experience in retail, international trade and cross-border e-commerce development. Prior to joining C2 Capital Partners, where he has a focus on FMCG investment, Jackie worked at Alibaba Group in the Tmall Global Business Unit. From 2016 to 2020, as Senior Operation and Business Development Manager, he helped establish key Alibaba Group import initiatives. He was the founding member of the first vertical import procurement business of Alibaba Group, Tmall Direct Import, a zero-to-billion-dollar sales retail project. He then relocated to Alibaba’s Australia and New Zealand regional office as a member of the business development team to identify, onboard and support imported goods in key GMV (Gross Merchandise Volume) categories, including food and infant formula.
Prior to Alibaba Group, Jackie was actively involved in investment and export opportunities for Australian products, with experience within The Australian Government and private sector. He has served as a board member of The Australia China Business Council and has a Bachelor’s degree in Media and Economics from the University of Adelaide.

Why Bubs? I was excited about the opportunity to work for a Company that produces top quality Australian nutrition products filled with love and care for babies and toddlers.
What’s your go to healthy diet and lifestyle habit: I love to spend time road cycling with friends, as well as running and getting involved in other outdoor sports. My favourite healthy meal is a rice vermicelli salad and a smoothie made with lots of fresh fruit.
Life outside work: I spent most of my younger life enjoying the Australian outdoor lifestyle living between Adelaide, Melbourne and Sydney. I’m now a dad of one and together as a family we enjoy travelling and I am a also a total foodie who loves cooking.
